On the web:

Are you looking for info on where to get a decent drink in the Phoenix area ... or just wanting to pass some idle time in front of your computer? Then be sure to check out the zany and very creative web site put together by Paul Espudo at www.espudo.com. Paul is offering free links to local musicians.  And, yes, he links back to the Phoenix Blues Society, which we ALWAYS appreciate.

Philadelphia resident Jeremy Steinberg has amassed an enormous quantity of harmonica videos over the past 30 years. For details, check his web site.

Looking to build a home recording studio? Then be sure to check out the book, Sound Recording Advice, by John J. Volanski. It's available from the Pacific Beach Publishing web site.

One Final Note:

Those of you who attended Blues Blast 2001 will remember the remarkable performance by Bay Area singer Sista Monica. Monica Parker is now battling cancer and is asking her fans to drop her a line at sistamon@cruzio.com. More details and regular updates on her health will be available on the Sista Monica web site.

A great big THANKS!

Blues Blast 2003 is now history, and the 12th annual festival hosted by the Phoenix Blues Society will be remembered as one of the best ever! There were just so many good performances throughout the day ... seven hours of practically non-stop blues, on a beautiful, 70 degree day under mostly sunny skies.

There are just so many volunteers, sponsors and musicians to thank for helping to make Blues Blast one of the Southwest's premier music events ... I don't really know where to start, other than to say, "THANKS!"

Let's do it again next year!
